Operations Director
Daniel Allaire was named Operations Director, Kitimat Modernization Project on November 1, 2007. Daniel is responsible for the Kitimat Modernization Project Operations Team.
Daniel’s career began at Alcan's Shawinigan Works in 1988, as the Coordinator of Management Information Services (MIS) and Procurement with responsibilities for leading the purchasing, stores, accounting and payroll organizations.
He transferred to Isle Maligne in 1995, diversifying his experiences in MIS and Procurement. In 1997, Daniel accepted a managerial post in Montreal, where he tackled customer service and commercial issues, with a mandate to balance the supply and demand for the North American market.
In 1999, Daniel transferred to Kitimat Works' customer services and logistics in the casting and wharf organization to balance supply and demand. In 2000, he was promoted to Casting Superintendent and in 2002, Daniel transferred to Alcan’s Sebree smelter in Kentucky, USA, as Casting Superintendent.
Relocating to Montreal, Daniel was promoted to Director of Business Planning for APMG, managing strategic initiatives and coordinating presentations for the Excom and the Board. Daniel transferred to Kitimat Works in July 2007, accepting his second assignment with Kitimat Works, as Plant Manager.
Daniel Allaire was born and raised in Shawinigan, Quebec, and graduated in 1985, from Sherbrooke University, with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences and Administration.
